TEAChing

Peter was a Choral Exhibitioner at Clare College, Cambridge and a founder member and singer in the Renaissance Music vocal ensemble Stile Antico. Having won the Friends Prize at the York International Early Music Competition, during this time, the group also achieved a number of awards including a Gramophone Award for Early Music, a Grammy nomination and two Diapason d’Or.  They also collaborated with the Rose Consort of Viols and B’rock and completed a two-week residency at the Dartington International Summer School. Peter sang on a European Tour with Sting for his Dowland lute song project ‘Songs from the Laybrinth’. He has appeared with choirs such as The Cambridge Singers and Philharmonia Voices.

Since then I have passed my grade 5 and grade 8, with distinction. It has been a wonderful journey. Lessons are always fun, but they also focus on new areas to for me to think about and improve. I also sing in the London Symphony Chorus and Peter has prepared me for many re-auditions for the chorus over the years. He is a fine, knowledgable and sympathetic teacher.”

Peter is a singing teacher at Eton College and a member of staff on the Eton Choral Courses. He was also for many years the Singing Teacher for UBS investment bank, where he taught private lessons and initiated solo song evenings. He has twice been an adjudicator for the Music Competition at Wetherby Preparatory School and once for the Berkshire Singer of the Year Competition.
